Overview
OmegaLand indicates the general term for the Integrated Environment of Dynamic Simulation. It is intended for the industries that are potentially demanded to solve problems of hazards to safety, environment, and resource/energy savings. Such industries are generally related to petrochemicals, chemicals, electric power, gas, steel, pulp and paper, food, and pharmaceuticals. The OmegaLand is useful for their various departments including research, technology, manufacturing, production management, maintenance, security, and personnel/labor. The OmegaLand which is modular in design by function provides dynamic simulation environments producing the maximum effect at the minimum cost according to user's purposes such as designing, analysis, education, training, control, operation assistant, and optimization.
All the functional modules of the OmegaLand run on Windows or your personal computer while most of other existing dynamic simulators used to be packages which ran on Engineering Work Station (EWS). This is one of the reasons why the OmegaLand can be introduced at reduced cost. Moreover, in the OmegaLand based on Windows, you will find the technologies such as COM/DCOM and ActiveX.
Various functions expected from the integrated dynamic simulation environment: pland model, database, graphic and so on. have been provided in OmegaLand. User can combine these functions as required to build their own simulation.
The core of OmegaLand is Visual Modeler which is a dynamic simulator on a world top level and which gives a rigorous and high speed simulation.
Interface needed to link modules is exported so that the user can create modules. With a development kit supplied, the user can also generate their own functional modules to embed them in this environment.
Since modules supporting OPC which is an interface of the industrial standards are provided as well, the customer can easily make a link with external systems via this module.
OmegaLand Trainer Enterprise provides flexible system configuration, management of software/application and training management functions.
A dynamic simulator which is the core technology of OmegaLand.
Its thorough modular approaches will allow you to develop a dynamic model of a complicated plant on a large scale steadily and efficiently.
Controls the execution of the whole OmegaLand and administers its composing funcions and data used by them.
Offers a tag database function usable in real-time. It is capable of storing the data of a process model, processing the data by the calculating function, registering and editing tags in spreadsheet form.
Supplies the GUI (Graphic User Interface) that is directly operated by a user. It uses the same components as the Yokogawa CENTUM VP graphics environment, so that they can be seamlessly related to the DCS graphics.
Provides the function to automate execution of a simulation. It is capable of repeating the same operation accurately, which is useful for verification of operation. With the operator training system, it is feasible to execute automatically training scenarios including the occurrence of malfunctions.
Trend graph, stream table and operation/monitor panel functions are provided. User can monitor or operate the simulation by the combination of these functions.
Provides a function to connect with other subsystems (including DCS). This enables to configure an operator training simulator that is directly connected with an actual DCS. This module is also useful to verify the control logic for real operation.
Provides a graphical user interface for instructors to control the activation and monitoring of the Operator Training System.
OPC: the industrial standard interface of process control with OLE/COM technology is provided. User can easily connect OmegaLand to those OPC compatible subsystems.
A functional module created by the customer. Since the interface to connect with other modules of OmegaLand is exported, it can be easily embedded.
