OmegaLand Educator Industry Series - Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit

What is the Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) Pack?

The RFCC pack combines dynamic simulator software with a reference manual covering the process overview (including operation and control) and detailed operating procedures.
Using DCS and field screens that emulate an actual operating environment, trainees gain hands-on RFCC operation and management skills through the simulator.

Target Users and Expected Benefits

This pack aims to help staff in production (plant operators, process engineers) and maintenance (maintenance personnel, mechanical and instrumentation engineers) deepen their understanding of plant facilities and their operation. Target users are:

  • Those who want to learn the fundamentals of fluid catalytic cracking reactions and the roles of the reactor, regenerator, and auxiliary equipment
  • Those who want to systematically learn RFCC operation—from steady-state operation to non-steady-state operation such as startup, and through to abnormal-situation response
