What is the Fluid Flow Pack?
The Fluid Flow Pack consists of software based on a dynamic simulator as the main teaching material, together with supplementary materials such as workbooks that help trainees better understand the course content and instructor slides developed so that instructors can teach the material clearly. Trainees acquire the basic concepts used in fluid transport through hands-on operation of the simulator. Taking liquid transport as its subject, this pack covers fundamental engineering knowledge such as the relationship between pressure loss and flow condition (Reynolds number), as well as knowledge required in actual machinery operation, such as pump NPSH. Through operating the simulator themselves, trainees deepen their understanding of pressure loss in piping and valves and of the mechanical energy balance including pumps. They can also learn experientially about the types and characteristics of fluid machinery widely used at production sites, such as pumps and valves, and about matters necessary for operation, including points to note when using them.

Target Users and Expected Benefits
This pack aims to help staff in production (plant operators, process engineers) and maintenance (maintenance personnel, mechanical and instrumentation engineers) deepen their understanding of plant facilities and their operation. Target users are:
- Those who want to acquire basic engineering knowledge of liquid transport
- Those who want to gain the fundamental knowledge required to design equipment such as piping and pumps
