What's New in OmegaLand V3.4
In OmegaLand V3.4, the following items have been mainly upgraded.
Upgrade of Operating Environment
Newly supported OS
Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise 2019 LTSC and Windows Server 2019 are newly supported as operating environments.
Virtual Environment
In addition to Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019 is supported in a virtual environment using Hyper-V as an operating environment.
Contact Omega Simulation Sales department about software licensing to use OmegaLand in a virtual environment.
Visual Studio
Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 is newly supported as a model compiler.
GRAPHIC Functions
CENTUM type DCS faceplate
To expand the DCS faceplate usage, a CENTUM type is newly available as an optional type of the Controller/PID component. The CENTUM type faceplate, control group and detail view are designed to be similar to those of the CENTUM. User might need to prepare some custom units of VM to overcome the controller logic difference between CENTUM and stand VM unit for some faceplate types.
Control group performance improvement for custom faceplate
When customizing the DCS faceplate, it is now possible to create control groups in advance to display more promptly than earlier version.
Panorama viewer
It is now possible to use a panorama viewer component to achieve realistic field operation with photographic images taken in 360 degrees. Navigation to other locations and instrument operations through graphic faceplates is supported on the photo image view by simply clicking on the target area or menu selection.
Analog gauge improvement
The flexibility of the indicator component of analog image type has been improved allowing to display realistic instruments, such as pressure gauges.
Other Updates
Other many bug fixes and improvement of program are included in this version.
End of support OS
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 and Server 2008 R2 are no longer supported for operating environments based on Microsoft’s policy.
